Ice Everywhere!

We got rocked by an ice storm last Thursday that is still causing havoc to our area. We are blessed to still have power when many others continue to loose theirs because of iced power lines and massive tree branches falling.
Our roof must be covered with about 2 inches of solid, thick ice and it's beginning to settle. The kids are convinced that Santa is on the roof and I am convinced that some homeless person has camped out in our attic! The constant creaking and crackling is getting obnoxious. Even Tyson thinks so- he seems to be in constant guard dog mode.
Our driveway looks like an ice rink. Our mailbox looks like it has a beard. Icicles everywhere! I had my first fall on the ice yesterday, straight onto my knee cap. Ouch!

Our little Christmas tree covered in ice!

At least we will have a white Christmas this year! Looks like up to 3 more inches of snow today- just enough to cover the ice and make you forget how slick it really is.
Dinner on Christmas Eve at our place with good friends Greg and Jenny. Arizona-style eats... enchiladas, tortilla soup, beans, rice, etc. Yum!
