It's Spring Time!

OK, so it has been a month since I last wrote. Sorry!

It is finally spring in Illinois! We are starting our first garden...never realized how much dirt it takes. Our soil here is full of clay- not the best growing conditions for vegetable seeds! We keep buying dirt, and keep realizing we need more. Thankfully our neighbor has a tiller- he has been helping us with that part. Unfortunately he shredded his phone line which for some reason happened to be buried in our yard. Good news is he has friends in high places and we have a God that answers prayers! No charge to repair it!

Gabrielle is very excited to start a garden. Hopefully we will get to actually plant our seeds this weekend. Tomatoes, green beans, pumpkins, watermelon and cucumber are what we are hoping for. We'll have to track our progress and let you know how it is going.

Some other good news- Keegan has been tolerating cow's milk over the past few weeks. He is still having some minor side effects, but nothing that is keeping us from introducing him back to regular dairy. Praise God!

Oh, and our basement bedroom is done (minus hanging the door...who needs a door anyway??). It is painted, trim work is done and the desk is installed. You may now come to visit.

Hope to have some pictures again soon as we are doing more outside!

I'm jealous of your garden! We need to start one too. I've been saying that for years!
