Keegan's Surgery

Just wanted to update you on Keegan's surgery...

He had tubes put in his ears on Wednesday and is doing fine since. He hates the ear drops that he gets twice a day for a week, but he is doing well.

The doctor did say that it was a good thing that he had the surgery done- although he was prone to mild ear infections (even though they did rupture a few times), the fluid from one of his ears was very thick and has probably caused some hearing loss. He should return to normal now that the fluid has been drained. He was mispronouncing many words, but you never know if that is simple toddler talk or a true hearing loss. The hearing tests he has had were inconclusive since it is difficult to get accurate results from a busy toddler. We have noticed him beginning to call Gabi actually "Gabi" more than his typical "Bavi".
